Beth Jones studied studio art and
art history at Parsons School of Design in New York
and California State University, Sacramento. Six years
as an associate and partner at Jennifer Pauls Gallery
(1984 –1990) provided her with experience in
all levels of gallery management. These skills include:
artist relations, design and curation, media relations
and marketing to public agencies, institutions, and
corporations. Following her association at Jennifer
Pauls Gallery, she began providing private art consultation
services in 1990.
Since 1990, Ms. Jones has developed Beth Jones, Art
Consultant into a highly regarded firm with projects
in several states and art programming for buildings
from 10,000 to 100,000+ square feet. The scope of
these projects include analysis of architectural and
design elements for the placement of artwork, site
specific commissions, interfacing with municipal organizations
when necessary, proposing and maintaining budgets,
facilitation of and presentation to an art selection
committee, design and coordination of framing, installation
with attention to security issues, and integration
of appropriate lighting.
Ms. Jones has contributed considerable volunteer
time to the development of visual arts programs in
Sacramento. She was a member of the first Visual Arts
Committee within the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts
Commission. Her leadership as a founder and President
of the Board Of Directors (1990-1991) helped to institute
the Center for Contemporary Art.
